On the afternoon of March 16, 2017, at the Prime Minister's Office of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Prime Minister Vikramashinha met with the EU-China Commission delegation and had cordial and friendly exchanges, and put forward suggestions on cooperation between the Belt and Road Initiative and Sri Lanka.

On March 18th, His Excellency Sarath Ekanayake, Governor of Kandy, met with the committee delegation at his residence to introduce project cooperation and development in the region.
