In order to promote cultural exchanges between China and the West, a strategic cooperation in the construction of the EU Diplomat Town Project was reached at the fair. The EU diplomatic towns will be built in Beijing, Hebei, Sichuan and Guizhou. This is a special approval of the European Parliament and the EU-China Economic and Cultural Committee. Authorized the construction of a European town in China for the first time. The town will combine the European cultural industry model with traditional Chinese culture and become a platform for cultural exchanges between China and Europe.

The Central New Film Documentary Film Fund, the EU-China Economic and Cultural Commission, and the Vientiane International Film Festival Organizing Committee will work together to establish a European cultural characteristic town, with a contract amount of 20 billion yuan. The town was specially approved by the European Parliament to exclusively land in China. For the first time, it combines the European cultural industry model with Chinese traditional culture and integrates the latest European technology. It is a demonstration of China-Europe urbanization in China.
