On January 4, 2017, the EU-China Economic and Cultural Commission was invited by Beijing Cultural Investment Development Group and Beijing Gehua Cultural Development Group to inspect the national foreign cultural trade base (Beijing Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone·Cultural Bonded Park) to discuss cooperation matters.

The National Foreign Cultural Trade Base (Beijing Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone•Cultural Bonded Park) is located in the Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone of Shunyi District, Beijing. It has a planned land area of 235 acres and a building area of 450,000 square meters. It is China’s first cultural bonded park and is managed by Beijing Gehua Cultural Development Group. Established in cooperation with the Management Committee of Beijing Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and officially awarded the "National Foreign Cultural Trade Base" by the Ministry of Culture.

In a warm atmosphere, the two sides reached a cooperative intention to jointly build a "China-EU Cultural Free Trade Zone".
