Charlotte Hospital launches the establishment of the Charlotte Hospital, Medical Research Center, Medical School, International Medical Exchange Center. Charlotte Hospital and the EU-China Commission have launched all-round cooperation in the fields of cardiology, oncology, pulmonary medicine, geriatric care, and geriatric rehabilitation.

The Charlotte Hospital, affiliated hospital of Humboldt University in Germany, is one of the largest comprehensive university hospitals in Europe. It is well-known for its outstanding medical technology, medical research and medical education. Ten of the 19 Nobel Prize winners in medicine and physiology in German history were born here.

The Charlotte Hospital consists of four parts, with a total area of 607,200 square meters. The hospital has 14,500 employees, including 3,700 scientific researchers, 4,225 nursing staff, 746 doctors and 250 professors. The hospital currently has 3,213 beds, with an average of 130,500 hospitalizations each year. At the same time, as the largest medical talent training base in Berlin, there are 7,265 medical disciples studying undergraduate degrees here, about 800 students studying undergraduate degrees in dentistry, and about 800 nursing students. In addition, the medical school also has two master's graduate schools of Mass Health and Molecular Neurology, which specifically recruit undergraduates in life science-related disciplines. These figures outline the unique characteristics of Charlotte Hospital.

In addition to scientific research and teaching, medical care and assistance are the most important missions of Charlotte Hospital. About 615,000 outpatients and about 140,000 inpatients per year, including 7,000 operations per month, 4,700 births per year and 700 organ transplants, make Charlotte Hospital valuable medical experience. Charlotte Hospital's annual turnover exceeds 1 billion euros. In 2012, Charlotte Hospital won more than 154 million euros in third-party funding and received 189 million euros in state financial subsidies for research and teaching.
