On October 30, 2019, the EU-China Commission and Beijing Guoshi Inspection Technology Research Institute formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. Xie Jianzhong, chairman of the European Commission of China, and its principals, Huang Tao, president of the Beijing Guoshi Inspection Technology Research Institute, vice presidents Li Shaolian, Wu Xiaohong, and principals of major departments, attended the signing ceremony and held discussions.

Chairman Xie Jianzhong attaches great importance to the cooperation with the National Academy of Sciences, and said that according to the cooperation plan of the two sides, it will coordinate the European certification and accreditation inspection and testing related resources, and fully connect with the National Academy of Sciences to serve the domestic inspection and testing industry. President Huang Tao thanked the European Commission of China for its trust in the Beijing Guoshi Inspection Technology Research Institute and stated that they will use their own resource advantages and work together with the European Commission of China to absorb advanced foreign technology and management experience to serve China's inspection and testing industry.

The strategic cooperation between the European Commission and the Beijing Guoshi Inspection Technology Research Institute is based on the concept of "long-term cooperation, mutual benefit and win-win", integrates the advantages of both parties, builds an Asia-Europe inspection and testing technology exchange platform, promotes the integration of Asia-Europe certification and certification exchanges, and serves the "Belt and Road" and "Europe" "Asia Interconnection" and other national strategies.

In addition, the cooperation between the two parties will also help China's inspection and testing industry to "go global" development strategy and contribute to China's construction of a world-class testing laboratory.
